Athletes who qualify for Nationals Week events in the current bodyweight categories during the qualifying period, which began on May 22, 2024 and ends on May 22, 2025, will be eligible to register. The current bodyweight categories and qualifying totals will be honored for athletes attempting to qualify for the 2025 National Championships week events until the end of the qualifying period. Athletes attempting to register for the VWS2 and VWF will need to hit the new 2025 Qualifying Totals at a bodyweight conforming to the new category limits.
Adaptive Athletes National Championships Registration
An adaptive athlete is someone with a disability as defined by the ADA as a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, a person who has a history or record of such an impairment, or a person who is perceived by others as having such an impairment. All media must apply for media credentials for all USAW national events. All media members are also required to have current U.S. Center for Safe Sport training prior to credential approval. Please contact USAW at usaw@usaweightlifting.org with any questions.
Credential approval/denial emails are typically sent 1-2 weeks before the start of competition.
Jackie Black and Jenny Arthur/ Norik Vardanian have offered their gyms as alternative training sites to the National Championships training hall. Please contact the clubs directly if you have an interest in training at one of their locations.
