Coaching Scholarships

National Referee Fund for Women - Scholarships for technical officials looking for advancement in the sport. 

Women in Coaching Scholarship Program - USA Weightlifting offers a limited number of tuition scholarships to qualified female coaches to attend the Level 1 or  Level 2 Coach Certification courses. The scholarship covers the tuition cost of the certification. Any travel-related or non-tuition expenses are not covered.  Scholarships may only be applied to new purchases and may not be used retroactively.

BIPOC Community Scholarship Program  - USA Weightlifting offers a limited number of tuition scholarships to qualified BIPOC coaches to attend either the Level 1 or Level 2 Coach Certification courses. Scholarships are awarded through participating WSO’s.

USAW Youth Coaching Scholarship - USA Weightlifting, in partnership with the Susan Crown Foundation’s Million Coaches Challenge, is working to expand the number of quality, trained coaches who work primarily with youth in underserved communities. Youth coaches play a critical role in the lives of young people and recruitment and retention of coaches working with underserved youth is the central aim of this initiative.

WSO Coach Education Scholarships - USA Weightlifting partners with the WSO committees to provide a limited number of tuition scholarships for the Level 1 or Level 2 Coach Certification Course. These scholarships are chosen by the WSO committees and offered to Women and BIPOC members. Please click the link to see if your WSO is participating.
