Through six days of competition, U.S. lifters earned 18 gold medals, 21 silver medals, and 22 bronze medals. Gianna Van Hofwegen was the lone total gold medalist out of both U15 teams, while Elle Bays, Madeline Francescone, Madden Mones, Carter Sing and Sebastian Stodel all earned total-gold at the U17 level. The United States’ highest-ranked lifters based on Robi Points were Sing (second overall, U17), Francescone (fifth overall, U17), Andrew Weymer (third overall, U15), and Chassity Del Balso (third overall, U15). Bays, Del Balso, Francescone, Kaia Jacobs, Addie Jones, Kinsley Rodden, and Sing all hit 100% or better of the “A” standard, while 13 athletes recorded a total that was between 90 and 100 percent of the “A” standard. The performances shook up the National Team Program rankings heading into the final national event of the year – the Virus Weightlifting Finals. New NTP rankings won’t be released until after the new year.
