The IWF World Championships Competition Schedule is Set for Team USA in Saudi Arabia

2023 IWF Weightlifting World Championships competition will begin on September 4 at the Green Hall at Prince Fisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and the competition dates and sessions have been set for the 20 United States competitors.


Brian Reisenauer (61kg/Fargo, N.D.) will kick off the action for the United States squad, lifting in the 11:30 a.m. local time (4:30 a.m. ET) session on Tuesday, September 5 with Hayley Reichardt (49kg/Leesport, Pa.) and Jourdan Delacruz (49kg/Wylie, Texas) competing in the 4:30 p.m. local time (9:30 a.m. ET) session.


Hampton Morris (61kg/Marietta, Ga.) will be the lone U.S. weightlifter to step on the platform on Wednesday, September 6 as he lifts in the 4:30 p.m. local time (9:30 a.m. ET) session.


Danielle Gunnin (59kg/Monroe, Ga.) and Taylor Wilkins (59 kg; Sebastian Fla.) will both lift in the 7 p.m. local time (12 p.m. ET) session on Friday, September 8.


Two more athletes will compete for Team USA on Saturday, September 9 as Caden Cahoy (73kg/Jacksonville, Fla.) and Ryan Grimsland (73 kg; Lewisville, N.C.) lift in the 11:30 a.m. local time (4:30 a.m. ET) and 4:30 p.m. local time (9:30 a.m. ET) sessions respectively.


CJ Cummings (89kg/Beaufort, S.C.) will be the sole American team member to compete in World Championships action on Sunday, September 10, lifting in the 9:30 p.m. local time (2:30 p.m. ET) session.


Following two days off for team USA, three American athletes will grace the World Championships platforms on Wednesday, September 13 as Nathan Damron (89kg/Los Gatos, Calif.) lifts in 2 p.m. local time (7 a.m. ET) action and Kate Vibert (71kg/Johns Creek, Ga.) and Olivia Reeves (71kg/Chattanooga, Tenn.) compete in the 7 p.m. local time (12 p.m. ET) session.


On Thursday, September 14, Ryan Sester (102kg/Gresham, Ore.) will lead off the day in the 11:30 a.m. local time (4:30 a.m. ET) session and Meredith Alwine (71kg/Alamonte Springs, Fla.) will follow at 4:30 p.m. local time (9:30 a.m. ET).

 

Mattie Rogers (81kg/Geneva, Fla.) will compete in the 4:30 p.m. local time (9:30 a.m. ET) session on Friday, September 15 before a trio of American weightlifters step on to the platform on Saturday, September 16. Wes Kitts (102kg/Atlanta, Ga.) will compete in the 2 p.m. local time (7 a.m. ET) session on the 16th while Sarah Robles (+87kg/Desert Hot Springs, Calif.) and Mary Theisen-Lappen (+87 kg/Eau Claire, Wis.) lift in 4:30 p.m. local time (9:30 a.m. ET) action.


Caine Wilkes (+109kg/Indian Trail, N.C.) and Alejandro Medina (+109kg/Miami, Fla.) will close out the competition for the United States in the 11:30 a.m. local time (4:30 a.m. ET) session.
