USA Weightlifting Re-Launches Masters Hall of Fame
COLORADO SPRINGS –– USA Weightlifting is proud to announce the re-launch of the USAW Masters Hall of Fame, a renewed and clarified recognition program honoring athletes ages 35 and up who have demonstrated sustained excellence in weightlifting competition. The Masters Hall of Fame recognizes USAW members whose achievements reflect long-term commitment and competitive success as Masters athletes. The re-launch introduces a transparent points-based qualification system, while preserving the prestige and integrity of the honor.
“The re-launch comes after months of collaboration and research led by our Masters Committee,” said JP Nicoletta, USAW Chief Operations Officer. “It reflects USA Weightlifting’s commitment to celebrating Masters athletes while clearly defining the standards and pathways for recognition. This iteration of the Masters Hall of Fame honors not only peak performance, but longevity, dedication, and continued excellence across a competitive career.”
The Masters Hall of Fame inductees will be announced in annual classes, beginning with 2026. All inductees from 2023 and prior will remain in the Hall of Fame and do not need to re-qualify for the honor. New applicants may use points gained at past events to determine their current total qualification points. Athletes who believe they are eligible for induction based on the qualification criteria described below may use the application form to submit their points to USA Weightlifting for verification.
To be eligible for induction, athletes must:
