USA Weightlifting and the University Weightlifting Committee launched the sport’s first All-American program in 2022 with the intention of elevating weightlifting to the next level of collegiate recognition and growth.

The inaugural class of All-American weightlifters included 38 athletes (22 women, 16 men) who earned the honor based on their performances at the National University Championships in Columbus, Ohio. In 2023, 32 athletes (16 women, 16 men) earned the honor. All-American titles will be awarded annually at the National University Championships.

Athletes must make 75% of the National Ranking Score total for their respective bodyweight category, located in the USA Weightlifting athlete selection procedures, to be crowned an All-American.

Below are the totals needed to earn 2024 All-American status. Email usaw@usaweightlifting.org for further information.
